Denise Owens, Treatment Coordinator, Women's Program

Denise came to Harmony 11 years ago and has attained her Certified Addictions Counselor III in the state of Colorado. Before becoming Treatment Coordinator for Harmony, she had been a family counselor, family continuing care counselor and a primary counselor for the female clients at Harmony. Before working at Harmony, Denise had management and bookkeeping in her background, as well as having owned a DUI treatment facility in Estes Park, thus bringing a vast knowledge of recovery and business skills to her role at Harmony.

Denise believes Harmony understands addiction and alcoholism as a disease, and Harmony’s use of the 12 step program as a model for recovery is in line with how she lives her life.  Denise has been surrounded by the disease all of her life, and living the 12 step program daily is how she has accomplished over 28 years sobriety.  Her passion is to be able to work at Harmony and to help others find the solution as she has.
