In the treatment and recovery process, men and women often
have differing needs. To address these differing needs,
group therapy sessions at Harmony are separate for men
and women. These gender-specific groups allow for a much
more thorough and intimate exploration of issues - and
in a setting that is often seen as more comfortable than
and not as intimidating as a "mixed" group might
seem. We find that this approach works well for our students-
men and women alike - as they discuss topics that
sometimes are very personal and sensitive in nature. There
are also
separate men's and women's 12-Step meetings held each week
at Harmony that are strongly supported by the 12-Step community
in
and
around the Estes Park area.
Our campus is set up to easily accommodate these separated
programs. In each of the spacious buildings you will find
quiet places for study, comfortable visiting areas, as
well as common areas conducive to socializing with the
other students. The cabins that house our students are
in close proximity to the site where each program's
primary activities take place. The beautiful setting in
the mountains of Colorado, along with our very focused
approach, incorporates all the ingredients for a quality
treatment experience.
