Family Counselor

Counseling Technician

As a Counseling Technician, your primary responsibility is to provide guidance, safety, stability, and direction to detox and residential client populations. The Engagement Counselor’s role is to provide counseling services to clients experiencing withdrawal and facilitate their transition to the next phase of the treatment process. This involves completing client evaluations, initial treatment planning, and individualized motivational interventions. You will also facilitate motivational groups, provide orientation and support during transitions into residential treatment, assist in crises, maintain thorough documentation, and facilitate groups on alcohol and drug-related issues.
