Lead Counselor

The Lead Counselor will provide counseling, mental health and risk assessments, and treatment recommendations to promote individualized client recovery.
As a Family Counselor, your primary role would be to offer education and support to family members and significant others of clients dealing with addiction. This includes developing family programs, facilitating support groups and educational sessions, integrating family involvement in the recovery process, and providing therapeutic tools and interventions. Additionally, you would be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to ethical standards, and collaborating effectively within the counseling team.

As a Counseling Technician, your primary responsibility is to provide guidance, safety, stability, and direction to detox and residential client populations. This includes supervising clients during assigned shifts, documenting interactions/events in electronic medical records, and delivering comprehensive orientations to new clients. You will educate and support clients on program expectations, participate in emergencies using the Harmony protocol, conduct searches, facilitate educational groups, and support clinical staff and other departments in providing excellent client care.

This involves completing client evaluations, initial treatment planning, and individualized motivational interventions. You will also facilitate motivational groups, provide orientation and support during transitions into residential treatment, assist in crises, maintain thorough documentation, and facilitate groups on alcohol and drug-related issues. Additionally, you’ll adhere to Harmony policies and procedures, collaborate effectively within the counseling team, uphold confidentiality and ethical standards, and engage in continuing education to enhance your knowledge and skills.
